Nigeria’s Super Falcons capped off their preparations for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with a dominant 3–1 victory over arch-rivals Ghana in a friendly match played on Sunday in Morocco.
The nine-time WAFCON champions took charge of the encounter early, racing to a three-goal lead before the Black Queens managed a late consolation.
It took 34 minutes for Nigeria to break the deadlock as Chinwendu Ihezuo fired home the opener. Just ten minutes later, Bay FC striker Asisat Oshoala doubled the advantage for the Super Falcons.
Shortly after the second half resumed, team captain Rasheedat Ajibade added a third, effectively sealing the win for the West Africans. Ghana pulled one back with only two minutes left in regular time, but it was not enough to alter the outcome.
