President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has indicated that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is ready to welcome Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, should he decide to join the party.
The president made the statement on Wednesday while commissioning the newly completed Arterial Road N16 — Shehu Shagari Way — which links Ring Road One (Nnamdi Azikiwe Way) to Arterial Road N20 (Wole Soyinka Road).
The project is part of a broader infrastructure development initiative that also includes the rehabilitation of several roads within the Katampe District of Abuja.
While praising Wike’s role in delivering key infrastructure projects in the FCT, President Tinubu suggested that his involvement in the APC would strengthen the party and increase its popularity, while potentially unsettling opposition parties.
The event attracted top government officials, political figures, and stakeholders in the construction sector, highlighting the administration’s commitment to improving the capital city’s road network.
