Senator Abubakar Sani Bello, who represents Niger North Senatorial District, has redeemed his ₦20 million pledge to support victims of the recent rainstorm disaster in Ibeto Town, Magama Local Government Area.

The donation, delivered through a delegation of his aides, is part of the Senator’s effort to help residents recover from the storm that destroyed homes and displaced several families. The funds were presented on behalf of Senator Bello by his Legislative Aide, Comrade Mohammed Sani Yahya, and Personal Assistant, Alhaji Ali Kira.

Speaking during the presentation, Alhaji Kira conveyed the Senator’s message of sympathy and support, stating that although the Senator was abroad on official duty when the disaster struck, he acted swiftly by directing his team to convey his condolences to the community. Upon his return, he instructed the immediate disbursement of the pledged funds, emphasizing the need for urgency.

“The Senator believes the affected families should not have to wait to start rebuilding their lives,” Kira said. “He prays Almighty Allah grants the community strength and comfort in this trying time.”

The donation was received by the Madawaki of Ibeto, who represented the District Head and thanked the Senator for his timely response and show of leadership. He described the gesture as a demonstration of genuine concern and solidarity.

Local authorities and traditional leaders are expected to oversee the distribution of the funds to ensure fairness and accountability.

Senator Bello’s intervention underscores his consistent commitment to grassroots engagement and his reputation for responding swiftly to the needs of his constituents.
