The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), issued a warning to the public about fraudulent recruitment advertisements circulating online, stating that it is not currently conducting any hiring process.
In a statement posted on its official X handle on Friday, the company cautioned job seekers to be vigilant against fake recruitment schemes, emphasizing that all legitimate job openings will only be announced through its official channels.
“The general public is hereby informed that NNPC Limited is not recruiting,” the statement read.
“Official recruitment announcements will only be made through our website and verified social media platforms,” the statement continued.
NNPCL further assured the public that its recruitment process is “transparent, merit-based, and requires no external assistance.”
The company urged Nigerians to disregard any unofficial job advertisements claiming to be from NNPCL, as these could be attempts to deceive unsuspecting applicants.
“We remain committed to upholding the integrity of our hiring process and will notify Nigerians when recruitment officially commences,” the statement continued.
NNPCL advised the public to always verify information through its official platforms to avoid falling victim to scammers.
Additionally, it encouraged individuals to report any suspicious recruitment ads falsely linked to the company to the relevant authorities.
