The Adamawa State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in its fight against violent crimes with the arrest of two suspects for the brutal murder and beheading of a 10-year-old boy in Jada Local Government Area.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the command’s spokesman, CSP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the arrest of 27-year-old Ibrahim Abdul Malik and 18-year-old Aliyu Abdul Malik, both residents of Anguwan Sarkin Yamma, Jada.
“The duo were alleged to have killed and beheaded a 10-year-old Almajiri, identified as Abdalla Lawali, of Anguwan Dubai, Jada,” Nguroje stated.
According to the police, the victim was reported missing on March 7, 2025, prompting an intensive search. A search warrant executed at the suspects’ residence led to the discovery of the victim’s head, buried in a shallow grave within the premises.
During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to the crime, expressing regret and blaming the devil for their actions.
Condemning the gruesome act, the Commissioner of Police ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a thorough investigation and prosecution. He reassured the public that justice would be served and urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant, reporting any suspicious activities in their communities.
