A member of the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tolu Bankole, has asserted that President Bola Tinubu will complete his two-term tenure, emphasizing that there will be no vacancy in Aso Rock until 2031.

Speaking in Abuja on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, Bankole dismissed speculations about a potential opposition alliance ahead of the 2027 presidential election, stating that Tinubu’s administration is implementing critical economic reforms that will secure his re-election.

“Save your money and energy; there will be no vacancy in Aso Rock in 2027. President Tinubu’s administration has implemented far-reaching economic reforms, setting Nigeria on a path of renewal and long-term prosperity,” he stated.

Bankole also criticized opposition figures planning to challenge Tinubu in 2027, suggesting they either lack an understanding of Nigeria’s political history or are deliberately creating distractions for personal gain.

“Nigerians can now see through the antics of the opposition, recognizing their lack of preparation and commitment to national unity. Their pseudo-appeal during the last election has been exposed as nothing more than a series of comical and outrageous political schemes,” he added.

He urged opposition parties to focus on constructive engagement rather than attempting to discredit Tinubu’s administration, which he insists is already driving national transformation.

“As the 2027 presidential election approaches, it is evident that President Tinubu will secure a resounding victory over any opponent. His remarkable commitment to Nigeria’s transformation speaks for itself.

“Those considering contesting should rethink their ambition, as there is no vacancy in Aso Rock in 2027,” he concluded.
