US President-elect Donald Trump touched down in Washington, DC, on Saturday evening as festivities commenced ahead of his second inauguration as the nation’s leader.

According to CBS News, Trump landed at Dulles Airport accompanied by key guests, including tech industry leaders, business allies, conservative media figures, and loyal supporters who are set to witness the historic transition of power.

Addressing concerns about harsh weather conditions during the swearing-in ceremony, Trump emphasized the importance of safety.

“There is an Arctic blast sweeping the country. I don’t want to see people hurt or injured in any way,” he stated on Truth Social.

He further explained his decision to relocate the event indoors, saying: “Therefore, I have ordered the Inauguration Address, in addition to prayers and other speeches, to be delivered in the United States Capitol Rotunda, as was used by Ronald Reagan in 1985, also because of very cold weather.”

The inauguration celebrations are set to feature a star-studded lineup, including country music icons Carrie Underwood, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Jason Aldean. Other performers include disco legends the Village People, rapper Nelly, and rock musician Kid Rock.

The event will also host prominent personalities such as Hollywood actor Jon Voight and former WWE star Hulk Hogan. High-profile business executives, including Tesla and X CEO Elon Musk, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew, are also expected to attend the ceremony.

The festivities mark a significant moment as the nation prepares to welcome Trump’s second term in office.
