The group-stage opponents for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals were revealed on Monday night following the official draw held at the Mohammed V National Theatre in Rabat, Morocco.
West African heavyweights Nigeria have been drawn into Group C alongside 2004 champions Tunisia and East African teams Uganda and Tanzania.
Tournament hosts Morocco will lead Group A, which also features 2012 winners Zambia, Mali, and Comoros.
Defending champions Ivory Coast face a challenging Group F, where they will square off against five-time champions Cameroon, Gabon, and Mozambique.
In Group B, record seven-time winners Egypt will meet 1996 champions South Africa, as well as Angola and Zimbabwe.

The 2025 AFCON will take place later in the year due to FIFA’s expanded Club World Cup, which is set to run from June to July 2025. The continental tournament is scheduled to be held in Morocco between December 21, 2025, and January 18, 2026.
