Max Verstappen has secured his fourth consecutive Formula 1 World Championship title, securing his legacy as one of the sport’s all-time greats. Despite finishing fifth in today’s dramatic Las Vegas Grand Prix, Verstappen’s consistent performance throughout the season proved insurmountable for his rivals. He clinched the championship with two races remaining, edging out McLaren’s Lando Norris.
Verstappen’s 2024 season started with a commanding seven wins in the first ten races. However, a mid-season slump saw a ten-race winless streak, allowing McLaren, Ferrari, and Mercedes to claim victories and reignite the championship battle. Norris emerged as Verstappen’s strongest challenger during this period.
The turning point arrived at the Brazilian Grand Prix. Starting from 17th position, Verstappen delivered a stunning performance in challenging wet conditions, winning the race and reclaiming the championship lead.
Entering the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Verstappen needed only to outplace Norris to secure the title. After qualifying fifth, he expressed confidence, stating, “It’s nice today.
