Senator Ned Munir Nwoko has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The announcement was made on Wednesday during a plenary session at the Senate.
Nwoko, who was elected to the Senate in 2023 under the PDP platform, formalized his decision in a letter addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
During the session, Akpabio read out the letter, confirming Nwoko’s defection to the ruling APC.
In his letter, Nwoko cited internal crises within the Delta State chapter of the PDP as the primary reason for his departure.
His defection marks a significant shift in the political landscape of Delta State, adding to the ongoing realignments within Nigeria’s political sphere.
