In a statement through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, Governor Sanwo-Olu described the late Mrs. Eno as a “pillar of support” to Governor Eno and praised her for her humanitarian efforts, particularly through her foundation, the Golden Initiative For All (GIFA), which helped provide shelter, food, and education to the underprivileged.
“On behalf of my wife, Ibijoke, and the people of Lagos State, I express my deepest condolences to my brother, Governor Umo Eno, and the people of Akwa Ibom State. Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Umo Eno was not just a wife and mother, but a true soulmate and strong pillar of support to our brother,” Sanwo-Olu said.
Referred to as Eka Iberedem Akwa Ibom, meaning “Mother and Strong Pillar of Akwa Ibom,” Mrs. Eno was loved for her compassionate leadership. Sanwo-Olu concluded by praying for her soul’s eternal rest and for strength for the family and people of Akwa Ibom to bear the loss.
