Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has commended President Tinubu’s recent cabinet reshuffle, which was announced on Wednesday. In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Strategic Communication and Media Relations, Bolaji Tunji, Adelabu expressed his congratulations to Sunday Dare, former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, on his new appointment as Special Adviser on Public Communication and Orientation to the President.
The minister also extended his well-wishes to Jumoke Oduwole, the newly appointed Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment.
Oduwole, a former senior lecturer at the University of Lagos and former Special Adviser to the President on Ease of Doing Business, was recognized by Adelabu for her past roles, stating her experience will serve her well in her new position.
Adelabu also congratulated other newly appointed ministers, noting their appointments as a reflection of the President’s ability to identify capable individuals to lead the nation.
“Being selected by Mr. President is a reflection of their ability, exceptional leadership, and expertise,” Adelabu remarked.
Adelabu particularly praised Sunday Dare’s background as a seasoned media consultant, emphasizing that his extensive experience would prove invaluable in his new role. He also commended the qualifications of Oduwole, highlighting her contributions in previous government positions.
Adelabu encouraged the newly appointed ministers to view their roles as opportunities to serve the nation, urging them to bring their expertise and dedication to further Nigeria’s progress. He concluded by wishing them wisdom, strength, and success in their responsibilities.
This cabinet reshuffle follows President Tinubu’s decision to relieve five ministers of their duties, including the Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy Ohanenye; Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John; Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman; Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo; and Minister of Youth Development, Dr. Jamila Ibrahim.
