The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Capital Territory Command, Olusola Odumosu, has called on 544 newly promoted officers to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and integrity in their duties. This was disclosed in a statement by the command’s spokesman, Samuel Idoko.
Addressing the officers in Abuja on Friday, Odumosu emphasized that the recent promotions were more than just career advancements; they represented “a call to greater responsibility within the organisation.” He urged the officers to embody the Corps’ values by adhering to “the highest standards of professionalism in their duties.”
Odumosu commended the officers for their success in the promotion examinations, which he noted as a testament to their dedication to professional excellence and career growth.
The Commandant also recognized Commandant General Abubakar Audi’s role in facilitating these promotions, reminding the officers of the added responsibility that accompanies their new ranks. “To whom much is given, much is expected,” Odumosu stated.
Reiterating the NSCDC’s mandate to safeguard critical national assets and infrastructure, Odumosu urged the officers to intensify their commitment to protecting government properties within their assigned areas. He stressed that upholding professionalism would not only improve the Corps’ efficiency but also strengthen public trust in its operations.
