The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), discovered an illegal production site for counterfeit alcoholic beverages located on Offin Road, Balogun, Lagos Island.

In a statement, NAFDAC revealed that the discovery followed a complaint lodged with the agency, which prompted immediate investigative action.

Upon inspection, the team uncovered a shop repurposed as a facility for the production and packaging of fake alcoholic drinks.

NAFDAC has since launched further investigations to apprehend those responsible and ensure consumer safety.

The agency reiterated its commitment to protecting public health and warned against the dangers of consuming unverified products.
