Mudashiru Obasa, the ousted Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has made a return to the Assembly complex, marking his first appearance since his removal on January 13, 2025, over allegations of misappropriation of funds and other charges.
Accompanied by security agents, Obasa reportedly proceeded directly to the Speaker’s office upon his arrival.
This is the first time the Agege lawmaker has been seen at the Assembly since his removal.
In response, Segun Ajiboye, the Chief Press Secretary to Mojisola Miranda, who replaced Obasa as Speaker, confirmed the incident. He disclosed that the security details assigned to Miranda had been withdrawn, accusing Obasa and his team of unlawfully entering the premises.
