The national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, has expressed confidence in winning the 2027 presidential election.
The former presidential candidate in the 2023 elections made this declaration during the inauguration of the NNPP Secretariat along IBB Way in Katsina on Saturday.
Kwankwaso was in Katsina to pay a condolence visit to the Yar’adua family following the passing of their matriarch, Hajiya Dada.
During his speech, he emphasized that the NNPP is poised to claim the presidency and other key positions across the nation in 2027.
“The party is ready to take over the presidency, states, and other positions across the country come 2027,” Kwankwaso stated confidently.
He further criticized the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), claiming it had lost its way.
“I wish to remind you that the PDP is already dead.
We were in the party, but since they have gone out of line, we decided to check out,” Kwankwaso said.
The Kwankwasiya leader also cautioned Nigerians, especially women and youth, against being influenced by material bribes such as food or money during elections.
He urged the party’s leadership to intensify efforts to ensure the NNPP’s success in both Katsina and the entire nation, praising them for renovating the state secretariat as part of their preparations for victory.
In a separate humanitarian gesture, Kwankwaso pledged to assist a young boy, Abubakar Ibrahim, from the Yammawa area of the state, who is suffering from severe acute malnutrition.
Speaking at the event, the NNPP state chairman, Alhaji Armaya’u Abdulkadir, highlighted the party’s ongoing efforts to educate the electorate about their new logo, which represents their commitment to education for all, an issue close to the heart of the Kwankwasiyya movement.
Abdulkadir emphasized the importance of grassroots sensitization campaigns to raise awareness about the party’s new symbol.
“There is a need for the party to embark on grassroots sensitization to inform members of the importance of the new logo,” he added.
