On Tuesday, the Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed charges against 119 protesters from the #EndBadGovernance movement. The protesters had been arraigned on November 1, facing allegations that included treason felony and incitement to mutiny.
The defendants appeared in two groups during the initial proceeding: the first group of 76 included 32 minors, while the second group comprised 43 individuals.
Justice Obiora Egwuatu struck out the case after counsel to the Attorney General of the Federation, M. D. Abubakar, filed a motion to take over and discontinue the matter.
