The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed May 15, 2026, for the conduct of its presidential primary as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections, while setting the cost of its expression of interest and nomination forms for presidential aspirants at ₦100 million.

The decision forms part of the party’s officially released timetable and schedule of activities, which outlines key processes leading up to the primaries, including screening and appeals.

According to the schedule, the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms is expected to commence in late April and close in early May, ahead of the primary election.

A breakdown of the fees shows that the ₦100 million required for presidential aspirants comprises ₦30 million for the expression of interest form and ₦70 million for the nomination form.

The APC also retained fees for other elective positions, with governorship aspirants expected to pay ₦50 million, senatorial aspirants ₦20 million, House of Representatives aspirants ₦10 million, and House of Assembly aspirants ₦6 million.

In a statement accompanying the timetable, the party leadership said the schedule “outlines, among other activities, timelines for screening, appeals, and primary elections,” as well as directives for the sale of forms.

The party further assured members and stakeholders of its commitment to due process, stating that it remains focused on conducting a credible and transparent primary election that will strengthen internal democracy and uphold its progressive ideals.

The timetable also indicates that governorship primaries will be held later in May, following the presidential primary.
