Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved the immediate dismissal of all political aides in his administration as part of a sweeping restructuring effort.
The decision affects all Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) serving under the governor. In an official statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, the move was described as part of ongoing efforts to improve efficiency and strengthen service delivery across the state.
The governor expressed appreciation to the affected aides for their contributions to the development of Ondo State and wished them well in their future endeavours.
As part of the restructuring plan, Aiyedatiwa is set to appoint about 1,000 new aides drawn from the 203 wards across the state’s 18 local government areas. The appointments are aimed at enhancing grassroots coordination and injecting fresh capacity into governance.
The development marks a significant shake-up in the administration’s political structure, coming amid broader efforts to reposition the government for improved performance and responsiveness.
The move also follows earlier rounds of appointments and recent political developments within the state, signalling a strategic realignment of the governor’s team.
