United States President Donald Trump has declared that Iran is being “crippled day by day,” insisting that American forces have effectively secured victory even as the Middle East conflict continues.
Trump’s remarks come amid escalating hostilities involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, with ongoing military operations and rising geopolitical tensions across the region.
Reinforcing the administration’s position, officials stated that sustained strikes have significantly weakened Iran’s military capabilities. “Day by day, the Iranian regime is being crippled, and their ability to threaten the United States and our allies is being significantly weakened,” a White House statement said.
The U.S. president has repeatedly projected confidence about the outcome of the war, maintaining that his administration is close to achieving its strategic objectives. He has also signalled that the conflict may not continue indefinitely, hinting at the possibility of scaling back military operations.
Despite these claims, the situation on the ground remains volatile. Ongoing clashes, including missile exchanges and airstrikes, have continued to destabilise the region, while global concerns grow over energy security and rising oil prices.
Analysts note that while U.S. and allied forces have inflicted significant damage on Iranian military infrastructure, the broader conflict is far from resolved, with Iran still capable of retaliatory actions and regional disruption.
Trump’s declaration of victory highlights the contrast between political messaging and the complex realities of an evolving war, as international observers continue to monitor whether the conflict will de-escalate or intensify further.
